Carol's Trifles

Carol's Trifles

Ingredients

2½ tbl spoons Agar Flakes

500 mils of organic summer fruit cordial (or other strong juice mix)

Chopped fruit pieces and summer berries/Strawberries, blueberries, Peach etc - Splashed with a sweet liquor such as rum or brandy.

Stale cake

Custard

Fresh Whipped Cream

Method

Firstly make some jelly by mixing 500 mils of a lovely cordial. putting it cold into a pan and then sprinkling 2½ tablespoons of Agar over the surface of the liquid, then bring it to the boil - gently now! and simmer without stirring for 3/4 minutes.

Allow to cool

Using pretty, long glasses for individual per person trifles, layer your trifle from the bottom up;

Drop in a nice amount of fruit
Ying in your measure of booze
Squish in some cake
Pour over yo jelly
(you should be an inch or so from the top of the glass now)

Set this in the fridge
Then; pour atop some cold custard and then some whipped cream
And then decorate with some fruit or whatnot.
