Swoonsome contemporary folk music with a voice that is every bit as captivating as that of Jeff Buckley - (for instance), and guitar play that might make one's mind drift to images of Nick Drake leaning against a lamp post with his old mucker George Formby, each being inspired to new heights of fingery-pokery by their unlikely street-jam, as a light rain falls on the dark streets of a northern town, and pretty girls in puddle-splattered ankle socks blush and scurry by, in a helpless attempt to avoid becoming spellbound.
That's Ben Wetherill. Suzanne Marron is another kettle of fish - and what a kettle! - what fish! lovely slippy - occasionally barbed - quick, clever lyrics, sang with a beautiful, rich Middlesbrough-accented voice like you've never heard.
From 7pm, cover charge £4.
Also please vote for The Waiting Room in the Observer Food Awards (only if you mean it though). We won The Best Veggie in the North East Award last time around without the aid of a mass appeal like this one. Naturally we're hoping to be crowned Best Restaurant In The World Of Any Description this time around - but it will only happen if you cast your vote in our direction, you can do it here.
Thank you very much.
