Extra, extra...

You can already buy take-out organic beer and wine at The Waiting Room – (did you know that?) and now we’re thinking of making our organic free-range eggs, and organic artisan bread available.

All of the eggs we use (about 150 per week) are organic and free range including those that we use in our baking etc. and they are especially good. (We use free-range mayonnaise as well by the way.)

We get really excellent organic bread from Larchfield Community Farm, and are going to look at making loaves available for customers to take home. There are several kinds of bread to choose from including; The Larchfield Loaf – a wonderful mix of flours including Granary, with Molasses and Honey, The Granary Loaf, Wholemeal, White, a fantastic Seeded Batch Loaf, and an unleavened Soda Bread. Ideally customers who would like to buy bread will make a regular weekly order, (at the moment we are collecting freshly baked bread on Wednesdays and Fridays).

Please contact us if interested, or come along for some FREE BREAD-TASTING on Friday 25th or Saturday 26th of January. (while we’re at it we may have some BEER-TASTING, and EGG-TASTING why not?)

The other thing that you might be interested in is the question "Who laid The Waiting Room garden path of recycled green glass?" Well the answer is Harding Gardening. We highly recommend Harding Gardening (Tel. No. 07968 842570 (ask for Dickon)), they will expertly complete wide ranging work from land clearance and tidying jobs to grand landscaping and horticultural design projects.

The other thing that Harding Gardening have done for us this week is clear the land beneath two of the arches of Yarm viaduct for our Yarm viaduct allotment project. Lovely. We'll put some photos up on to our Website.

Remember the fantastic Paul Donnelly and Emma Fisk return to The Waiting Room this Sunday Jan 20th) - recreating the sublime music of Django Reinhardt and Stephane Grappelli. Expect incredible musicianship and a beautiful atmosphere.

Also, one more thing! - from 6pm this Sunday artist Adam Clarke is having a reception at The Waiting Room as we have had his paintings and screen prints on the wall for a couple of months now. Feel free to pop along and talk to Adam about his work - or to just look at his pictures and not say very much whilst drinking a free glass of wine.
