The Waiting Room

Aright.

Doubtless some of you were perplexed that The Waiting Room was not included in The Guardian's double page directory spread of fashionable vegetarian eateries in their travel supplement last Saturday - (that coincided with Vegetarian Week). And this just three days after the same organisation named us among their top 10 vegetarian destinations within their new-media output format Guardian Unlimited. Well don't ask us how it works, because we don't know. What we do know is that we didn't even know it was Vegetarian Week, and that ideally you'll be obtaining most of your news and views from The Waiting Room website, rather than old-school old media sources that don't even compost very well.

On that subject... we fully expect that our website will contain an ever increasing quantity and quality of content as time goes by. For example, we were nearly ready this week to up-post some new illustrated recipes - to the recipes section of our site no less. However our food photography session didn't produce the results we would have liked, so we've decided to hang fire on that one. Food is actually very difficult to photograph - certainly in a way that would make it seem becoming.

Here's one of our better efforts

...it's a chocolate fudgecake, melting around the edges with a ball of ice cream that is similar in colour to the dish. With the price of a pudding at The Waiting Room reflected in the glass table surface upon which the dish of pudding sits.

Other content within the site includes some very good video clips of past Waiting for Sunday events. These clips are being kindly hosted by Youtube and transmitted via the inner workings of our site. More clips will be added this week.
