Looking ahead we have: 18.11.07 Andrew Johnson, 25.11.07 Patti Plinko and Her Boy, 2.12.07* The Folk Theatre Partizans featuring Ben Wetherill, Serious Sam Barrett, Michael Rossiter and David Broad. 9.12.07 Spoken Word Slam Champion of The World Buddy Wakefield. 16.12.07 Carmen and Dick's Christmas Rendition (this one just about sold out).
* 2.12.07 This one now a bargain £5 - a change to the 'secret gig' plans as advertised in our printed programme.
This Waiting for Sunday we are proud to present
Our favourite Indie Rock n Roll perpetuator Andrew Johnson produces a rousing Waiting Room performance with the launch of his every album; No. 7 is the scratchy "Scratch" - lavish with uninhiblted art of noise pop production, Andy doesn't hang around as he layers his tracks with confident, easy experimentation, - fashioning a strong independent style that is littered with delightful knowing references to a huge collection of bygone pop, funk, fruity-loop and art school records.
Congratulations to Andy for recently achieving "Track of The Week" on Garageband.com - the web's largest independent music community and home to the definitive charts of the best emerging artists.
Sunday's Album Launch Party is due to descend into a glorious all-that-glitters-is-not-pop celebration of some of the greatest songs ever written, as Andy is ably assisted by Wild Cats Simon and Mackie.
From 7pm, £4 cover charge, Free scoop of Brymor real dairy ice cream.. + butterscotch sauce with every purchase of an Andy Johnson Album. (buy all 7 and eat 7 scoops!)
