This Waiting for Sunday we proudly present...
Hailing from Leeds, Michael is a singer and guitarist, playing "arcane songs and other relics". Beautiful guitar work, and contemporary renditions of traditional songs and other self-penned delights.... Michael grew up in west Wales and lived in Germany. He listened to his self-taught father play Blind Blake and Davey Graham and thought he'd try his own hand at folk guitar a few years back following a failed career on the trombone.
Michael has featured at the Waiting Room previously as a wonderful Folk Theatre Partisan. Performing tonight with Tom Western - the new Ben Wetherill - this promises to be a classical Waiting Room night of warmth and good cheer, glowing with the immortal embers of kind human spirit.
"Thomas Western sings beautiful, soulful folk accompanied by a lyrical guitar. He is definitely one to watch, and his wonderful songs Apples in Summer and Your Front Door are worth going for alone." Jade Wright, Liverpool Echo 19/02/2007. He's not really 'The New Ben Wetherill' but is in fact his own man, with a voice that is reminiscent of Ben Weth's enchanting tones.
Starting from 7 on Sun May 9th. Cover charge £5.

Becky is swapping The good life of The Waiting Room for Macdonalds - The Headland Branch or somesuch.
She's the one who looks like her identical twin sister who features on our homepage to entice you into our online shop of not many products.
Good luck Becky and thanks for your four years of work with a smile.
Lots of love from all of your colleagues and many satisfied customers xx
