Ergo Phizmiz

On March 25th Ergo Phizmiz presents a very special night of sonic cabaret, including live sets, film, radio pieces, dj sets, and DaDaist circus acts.

Sonic explorer, experimentalist and wrongwriter, Ergo Phizmiz's music jumps freely between pop, pranksterism, mutant-electro and just about everything in-between. Described by The Wire magazine as a "one man movement", and by BBC Radio 3 as "one of the most inventive composers around...a musical equivalent to Chris Morris", Ergo has developed a reputation as one of the most genuinely innovative composers working today. Expect a specially tailored Waiting for Sunday extravaganza.

A full evening's entertainment incorporating short-films, a live radioplay, live song sets and objects, and some Dada-ish cabaret-style turns inbetween. Ergo Phizmiz will begin the evening with a DJ set.

From 7pm Cover charge/advance tickets £4

This Phizmiz event kick-starts a fantastic run of Sunday night's at The Waiting Room that includes John Otway, Carmen and Dick The Resurrection - (The Musical), Ben Wetherill And The Folk Theatre Partizans, An Evening with Rudolph Rocker, Donnelly and Fisk, Martin Carthy, Mark Berube Trio, Thomas Truax, Uwe's night of wonder, plus several Edinburgh Fringe comedy act run-in shows...plus more.
