This is our Spring Menu for 2008, we've had it on for a couple of weeks now (sorry for not getting it out to you sooner, things have been a little hectic - in a good way - and it's not that we didn't want to encourage you to make the restaurant even fuller but finding the time for these things when there are hungry mouths to feed can be quite a stretch you know).
Anyway - the dishes are being well received despite having a lot to live up to, as our last two menus have been exceptional. This one is steady away with rustic loveliness, some old favourites with a few tasty new creations to suit the weather. It will run until the end of June or there abouts.

We’ve won another Observer Food Award! This year we featured in the Best Restaurant category, as in all restaurants not just vegetarian gaffs, which we were really pleased about. (Last year we were 'best Veggie in the North East').
Thank you to everybody who voted for us - (These are reader's annual awards for The Observer Food Monthly Magazine), and according to these readers The Waiting Room is one of the top 7 restaurants in the North, and amongst the top 40 in the UK! Who would have thought it? It's a huge credit to our fantastic staff; Prud, Carol, Anna, Beccy, Tilly, Ben, Sarah, Josie, Jemma, Micky, Coco, Matthew, Zoe, and Laura, and Amy, and thanks also to our lovely customers who help to create such a great atmosphere. There, I've said it.
