This Sunday March 4th The Waiting Room proudly presents...
This will be good!... The first of our nights to feature a stand up comedian, and certainly the first to feature one who is actually quite funny. Boothby Graffoe is "A comedy one-off with a brain that ticks at double speed". (The Guardian) and is "Like a Gary Larson Cartoon made flesh...his fanciful flights rival Eddie Izzard...truly inspired". (Evening Standard).
Boothby is accompanied by virtuoso fiddler Nick Pynn. Nick is one half of Jane Bombane and Nick Pynn (singing wine glasses/mechanical hats), and one half of Boothby Graffoe and Nick Pynn. He has also just spent 3 weeks playing junk instruments to sell out audiences at The Sydney Opera House.
To witness this show within the intimate Waiting Room back room will be a very special and rare treat indeed.
Admission/tickets are £8 in advance. (A bargain price because we have arranged the show with only 12 days notice).
Food and drink will be available as usual.
(Jane Bombane and Nick Pynn have recently opened a restaurant in Brighton - Bombane's - The restaurant has enchanted/mechanical tables, and is twinned with The Waiting Room)
Check out the rest of our fantastic Waiting for Sunday Spring line-up - it's weird and wonderful in equal measure.
The Friday Lively continues; In the cabaret bar, 6.30 - Midnight. Ballearica Eclectica DJ's, Tapas, Sangria and Super-fresh cocktails.
Come and enjoy yourself!
