The Waiting Room

Newsletter - Wednesday 09 May 2007

This Sunday May 13th The Waiting Room is proud to present a Waiting for Sunday special...

The Amazing Thomas Truax

PLUS!

7 Hertz

Crazed inventor of glorious musical contraptions, stop frame moonballads and a town called Wow - Thomas Truax fills The Waiting Room back room weirdly and wonderfully this coming Sunday.

Splendid magazine calls him "one of the five or ten best singer/songwriters in the world that you've never heard of...an exceptional talent, unique and resistant to comparison, yet fairly accessible even to casual listeners." His 'Wowtown News' radio show airs on Resonance FM in London.

And what we have done is... add the incredible 7 Hertz to the bill... to create an extra special line up.

7 Hertz play a kind of esoteric folk chamber music with an anarchic punk edge. Avalook at myspace.com/the7hertzband

Okeydokey, still to come in this week's mail out...

1. Fixing mail-out problems...

2. Changes to our Website... (Go and see our spanking new front page, other improvements in progress now).

3. Full updated programme with added feature artists and details...

and Thank you Martin Carthy

In reverse order:

Thanks to Martin Carthy for bringing his legend to The Waiting Room and delivering his craft so magnificently. Sunday was a really great night. Congratulations to everyone who was there.

3. We've added a number of acts and further details to our programme over the next couple of months - check the website.

2. We have made some meaningful changes to our website, to make it better. The front page is different - supersexy, and there's more besides. If you want a website as good as ours ask for Stevo.

1. We are aware that a percentage of each of our recent mail-outs have not been right (this one included for some)... blank for example, we're sorry about this and hope that we have fixed the issue with this issue of our almost weekly send out.

Great.

Lettuce know if you can't see any of this.
