Moist, drizzle, soaked, linger, longer, ooze, whipped, stiff, pert, honey, fig, finger, infused, cream, lather, hot, firey, sparkle, rippling, sweet and lovely, soft and warm, surrender and after-glow are all words likely to be used within the body text of our valentine’s night menu as we do our bit to set the mood for love on love’s big night this year. In a voice more seductive than the Marks and Spencers Caramel Bunny Voiceover Flirt, we will pep up our otherwise quite usual menu of Waiting Room delights with rapturous glee as we get carried away with the clammy fever of it all. February 14th - Book early.
Seriously though!! It is a good idea to book early for this most special of night’s to-avoid-disappointment. Several are already booked of course. Special set-price meal = £30. A romantic Jazz Pianist - that's Pianist, is included. (He'll be playing Jazz Piano). LIVE!

We’re playing catch up after a wonderful December, which included Christmas, the Christmas build up, Christmas day lunch for the first time, audible purring at Mark and Anna’s cooking, Bom-bane and Pynn’s fantastic Christmas Annual, half a twinning ceremony with Bom-Bane’s – new wacky restaurant in Brighton, (Brighton end of the ceremony to be concluded in February.), a spot on New Year’s Eve, an amazing night of King Creosote, the brilliant Donnelly & Fisk, and-so-much-more. Etc. And of course we’ve had a busy start to the year as people popularly resolve to give up animals and ready meals at the outset of a new beginning.
So, back in the swing of things here’s what we’ve got just now.
It’s a new style of having a carry-on in the back room. Designed to not adversely affect our existing lovely atmosphere for diners, we will have somebody playing very nice records at a slightly louder volume than our usual setting, in the back room, or cabaret bar as we have started to refer to it. Also we will be encouraging people who take part in this experience to drink more adventurously, (though not to excess) and eat in more of a beachy style, such as nibbling tapas, and using fingers, but not getting sand in their sand-which-is! Ooo those pesky sand witches! We’re also devising some great exclusive cocktails and putting some lively art work on the walls. And it will be on a Friday. (from 6.30 upto midnight)

We are just putting together our next Waiting for Sunday programme, to begin late February. The programme will include JOHN OTWAY, who is gonna come and pay us a visit on April 1st of all days.
We have just one tide-you-over event lined up in the mean-time, and it’s a WAITING-FOR-SUNDAY-SPECIAL: It's on this Sunday, January 28th. It's...
...a dinner party if you will. It’ll be super-cheesy (including emmental-based fondu) and very whiney, as our hosts welcome us with an excellent kitch menu and some fire-side singalinging. Etc. Martini’s, hundreds and thousands dressing, black forest gateaux etc. will all feature, as we ham it up big style without the ham. You're all invited. Dress up nice. From 7pm.
(Cover charge £4, excellent food and drink extra)

There is of course alot more to tell you about, but it'll wait - especially as non of your local government workers will get to see this, given the lewd words contained within this week's opening paragraph.
See you soon.
