Chip Bailey & Thomas Truax: Double Bill

Chip Bailey

An incredible double header. Nailed on showmanship and originality.

Chip Bailey, Duke Specials multi talented drummer/percussionist is on a tour of the UK and Ireland with his good friend Bob Bowles.

Bailey & Bowles together create an original mix of great music, mad instruments (including Chip's famous Stumpf Fiddle), plenty of humour, and includes the audience creating a spontaneous percussion orchestra.

Together they will perform songs from Chip's solo album 'The Temperance Society Chronicles pt 1', Bob's originals and covers with a twist.

Thomas Truax was this year nominated for prestigious Best Live Act of the year award by Is This Music Magazine, The Indy Music Awards 2008, and Maps Magazine.

He's like Wallace and Grommit but makes contraptions that are more musical than the Snowmanatron, he's from Wow Town - not Wensleydale - and he's not made out of plasticine.

"There's a fine line between the unique and the insane, and it's a line which New Yorker Thomas Truax (pronounced troo-aks) straddles with his chin held high and ' The Hornicator ' firmly glued to his left ear. His collection of home made instruments look as though plucked straight from the mind of Tim Burton and are combined with loop pedals, guitars and lashings of imagination to create one of the most unusual and entertaining live shows you will ever see."
